Thermoformable and ultra-reduced volume

Le volume of SomnoFit-S is reduced by 30% compared to our SomnoFit orthosis and most thermoformable anti-snoring orthoses. For users with a large jaw, the SomnoFit-B model, with the same technology as the SomnoFit-S, is the ideal product. With this reduction in the size of the device, dental comfort is much better: don't hesitate to give us your opinion whether you are prone to snoring or sleep apnoea! 

How does the Somnofit -S/-B orthosis work?

During sleep, the anti-snoring orthosis moves the lower jaw forward by a few millimetres. This advancement clears the back of the tongue in the mouth and release so the passage of inspired air. This clinically proven principle is highly effective in reducing snoring and sleep apnoea.

How do you choose the size of your Somnofit -S/-B anti-snoring orthosis?

We deliver two sizes of anti-snoring products:

SomnoFit-S mandibular advancement orthosis (standard) :

• • For small and medium-sized jaws. If in doubt, choose this standard size.

SomnoFit-B mandibular advancement orthosis (large size) :

• • For large jaws.

In a nutshell:

• • If you have a narrow, small or normal jaw/mouth, we recommend using the SomnoFit-S orthosis.

• • If your jaw is large and wide, use the SomnoFit-B orthosis.

Adapting the orthosis to your jaw

The anti-snoring mouth trays are adapted to your teeth by thermoforming, allowing them to be customised. The trays must be heated and softened in water at 80°C. All you then have to do is bite into each tray. This operation can be repeated 2 or 3 times if necessary.

Adjustment of mandibular advancement

As a general rule, a mandibular advancement of 4 to 7 mm is sufficient to reduce snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea. The anti-snoring orthoses are each supplied with 8 bands of different lengths. This means they can be precisely adjusted to ensure that they are effective, comfortable during the night and tailored to the needs of each user.

Cleaning your Somnofit -S/-B mandibular advancement orthosis

For daily cleaning, we recommend the use of a denture cleaner. Simply soak the appliance in warm water (around 35°) with a disinfectant tablet for at least half an hour. You can easily leave a dental brace in this solution all day, without forgetting to rinse it under running water before putting it back in your mouth.
